Answering the unanswered Both were written by him based on his own experiences and they actually helped many parents with young children in the spectrum to understand what their child is going through.
In this book “Born to win hearts “ .. he definitely has matured as an author and has written after a lot of analysis, thinking on what he and others like him expect from the Society , parents , government etc ! Each chapter .. starting from childhood, communication beyond speech , to sensory issues , to what’s expected from parents , to celebrate autism awareness day , to self advocacy , diversity and neurodiversity, mental health , spiritual growth … is written so well .. He has shared his insights , and his views on the reality that exists .. with some statements hitting us so hard ! I just had to put the book down at such places to absorb those words of wisdom , think over that , appreciate and send a silent prayer to Navneet .To quote a few ..Fingers are pointing towards us .. but our fingers are busy pointing on letter boards/ devices !
Awareness programs are not going to change our lives .. we need acceptance, respect ! A little space in your heart without judgment! Understanding autism happens when youTalk less about behaviour, but more about why that behaviour ! Moral diversity is when people are allowed to have their beliefs , along with moral values like compassion, empathy , mindful etc ! And more !!!! And he has listed out tips to parents on parenting , handling sensory issues , on infrastructure required for inclusion at school / college etc. Great job Padma Jyothi as an editor ❤️ I am still halfway through the book , there are poems .. which are sure to trigger ones thought process , interesting short stories etc .
